| POLISH CLOTHS

POLISHING YOUR JEWELRY

cleaning cloths box

You know those polish cloths that come in every order? Use them before you put the pieces on and before you put them away. Buff off the fingerprints and oils from your skin and keep it fresh looking.

How much is too much? What about the old pieces, I heard they should never be polished?

Every piece you have can take a bit of cleaning, because that’s what it is. You don’t want to go nuts with the vintage pieces, but most could do with a gentle buffing to take off dirt, and bring out the luster in the silver and stones.

In regards to the new, old-style traditional jewelry you have, you will keep them looking new (like they were when you received them) if you remember to clean them. I would not’t worry about buffing too much, since leaving it out in the air will bring the patina back. You can’t really hurt the stones by rubbing them with the cloth either.

WHEN TO STOP USING THE CLOTH
You don’t want to rub dirt into the silver or stones, so use the clean white parts of the cloth, on both sides, and throw it away when there are no more clean areas in the cloth. You can’t wash and reuse.
If you would like a box of Connoisseur’s Jewelry Cloths, you can find them at most drug stores like Walgreen's, CVS, online or ask me to include a box with your order for $5.00.
